Pregnancy Support Group

Nancy McDaid, CD (DONA)

(914) 715-4729

Pregnancy is an exciting, special time in a woman’s life, and everyone embraces it differently. Aside from proper prenatal care and nutrition, the most important thing a pregnant woman needs is emotional support. While there may be a partner, family, and friends to lean on, there is nothing like talking to another pregnant woman!

In our informal support group, join other mothers-to-be in various stages of pregnancy as they share experiences, clarify misconceptions, and become familiar with labor, birth, and newborns.

Topics of discussion may include…

…Stages of your babies growth and development

…Pro's and Con's of decisions you may be facing

…Options available to you for labor and birth

…Are those old wives tales really true?

…Time to talk about how pregnancy is effecting you emotionally, physically, and your relationship with your partner

…Resources available in your community

…Videos on Birth, Breastfeeding, and Newborn care

Groups are currently being held at 220 Tate Avenue, Suite 5, Buchanan, NY 10511. We meet the first and third Tuesday and/or Friday evenings of the month, from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. You MUST Pre-Register! If you are unable to make those day/time, or would like to suggest another location, please send me an email. If there is enough interest in other date/times/places, new groups will start. A donation of $5 per person/per meeting is requested to help pay for handouts, videos, and snacks.
